Therapist Statement
I provide services to individuals with an open heart and open mind. I base our work on where you are mentally and emotionally. Together we examine past traumas and current stressors to begin to understand why sometimes we get to a place we never thought we would be. With an emphasis on positive psychology and learning to identify and grow strengths, we begin the healing process. Because an essential aspect of therapy is rapport with your therapist, I spend time growing trust a deeper understanding with each client. I will challenge you but also provide support, encouragement, and empathy when needed.
In therapy, I enjoy using EMDR, TF-CBT, and CPT. Together we learn mindfulness, grounding techniques, and other strategies to reduce anxiety and depression. I believe knowledge is power and help my clients learn about the mind-body connection and the power of healing through therapy.
Reaching out to start the journey of healing can be fear-provoking and anxiety producing. At the same time, it takes facing this fear to begin the process and become a better version of you for primarily yourself, but no doubt your loved ones will also benefit from your growth. I would be honored to partner with you and guide the healing.
